Mid-Winter Update

We’re at about the midway point for the “off-season”. Our department has been busy detailing, rebuilding and sharpening over 100 pieces of equipment. We’ve been restoring course accessories through sanding, staining, sealing, painting and cleaning. Budgeting, planning, and reviewing our operation, along with tree work has kept us busy as well. First Frost

Frost is starting to form as the sun is coming up. The temperature actually drops when the sun rises so more frost is forming as I type. The golf shop is aware of the frost and will communicate when the delay is lifted. Please stay off the driving range tee and practice greens until further notice.

Unwanted 2″

Early Fall Course Update

Rain, more of the same. Everyone knows that the month of August was extremely wet and the trend looks to be similar in September. With the .70″ of rain and lightning yesterday morning, it left no time for maintenance before the shotgun. Another 1.4″ fell last night and this morning which equates to a completely saturated property.

Course Update

Last nights storm brought us 3.25″ of rain. There are large areas of standing water which will need pumping, the bridge on #8 was underwater for a short time, however, the ground is slowly taking in the water and the course’s drainage is working. Wash Out

The golf course received over 1.5″ of rain this morning in a very short period of time. We will not be mowing any short grass areas today and carts will not be allowed. The golf course will remain open as long as weather permits but please keep in mind that it is very wet with standing water
