We will have our first frost delay of the season this morning. With the temperature dropping all the way to 32 last night, expect this delay to last for several hours.

While this frost might be an inconvenience, it’s an important step for the turf to start its dormancy process. We want the turf going into winter to be completely dormant, as it has a better chance of survival. This frost will halt a lot of the top-growth going forward, which is a good thing. It will also free up our limited staff from having to mow playing surfaces daily, and allow us to focus on completing several improvement projects around the property.
