We needed rain, just not the 2″ we received last night/this morning. It has left us with a saturated course with scattered areas of standing water.
Unfortunately, we will have to restrict carts for today.
We need moisture to help with recovery of our winter-damaged areas, but we need warmth even more. The ground temperatures are at least 10 degrees below average right now, preventing us from germinating seed, and restricting the turf from actively growing.
Hopefully we trade the random snowflakes falling this morning for sunshine tomorrow.

Are those buffleheads in Walsh Lake? Maybe you know. That’s been my best guess about the identity of the migratory ducks that come through Midland every May.
Oh, and one other thing: Nice bridge!
Dan
Yes they are. They usually stick around for 2-4 weeks on their way North. They might be confused this year….
Thanks!
