Winter Sport Trails Now Open

Winter has finally given us enough snow to groom the winter sports trails. Mark Ries finished grooming the Front 9 loop this afternoon and will finish the back 9 tomorrow.

Just like last year, there will be 3 separate trails, all side by side, depending on the type of activity you are doing. Please keep on the trail for your specific activity.

If you are traveling counter clockwise, this how the trails lay out.
The snowshoeing or walking trail will be on your far right. The classic cross country ski trail will be in the middle and the skate trail will be on your left.

Again please keep on your appropriate trail so you don’t wreck the groom for someone else. Also, please stay on the trails at all times. Any compaction on our short grass areas can and will kill turf. Even if you are on snowshoes, please stay on the trail and off all short grass areas.

I hope everyone can make it out and enjoy the serenity of the course. We will groom the trails as needed and after snow events, once we’re done with snow removals around the clubhouse and parking lot.

I will send out a quick blog post after each grooming and to update any change in 13 Green in Wintermhcc-ski and snowshoe-trail webconditions.

Enjoy!
Mike
