Congratulations to Mike Paape on becoming the next Golf Course Superintendent at St. Croix National in Somerset Wisconsin!
Today will be Mike’s last day at Midland Hills. He joined Midland Hills in March of 2008 as our Golf Course Technician. He earned his way to Lead Assistant Superintendent in 2011. Through Mike’s 8 years at Midland, he’s shown great dedication to the club, a mentor to our staff members and a great friend. His technical skills and ability to manage our operation at a high level of efficiency will be missed. St. Croix National will soon learn that they hired a talented individual.
I am very excited for him and his family to start the next step in his career, where I’m certain he will continue to find success.
Our past 2 Lead Assistants at Midland Hills are now Golf Course Superintendents at their respective golf courses. We should all take pride in creating a environment which promotes from within and creates career advancement. It’s another part of what makes Midland a great place.
