Winter Ski and Snowshoe Trails Open

We received enough snow this past weekend to groom the ski/snowshoe trails today. However, the snow is very fluffy and dry so we cannot groom a classic cross country ski trail as it will dig into the ground. The forecasted snow this Friday/Saturday should allow us to get a classic trail out afterwards. As of right now, we have a skate ski track and a snowshoe trail.

  • As you travel the trail counter clockwise, the snowshoe trail will be on your far right, skate skiing will take place in the middle and eventually we will groom a classic trail on the far left.
  • Again there will be a front 9 and back 9 loop. Both start at the Driving Range Tee/Small Putting Green.
  • Please stay on the trail at all times. Traveling off trail and onto fairways, approaches or tees can/will develop ice which can/will kill turf.
  • Please stay on the trail for your specific sport. If the trails become intermixed, they become unusable and less enjoyable
  • If you see something on the course that shouldn’t be out there, please let us know.
  • Have fun and enjoy!

If you’ve never been on the course during the winter months, please make this year the year you start. Even if you don’t own skis or snowshoes and just want to take a walk, the snowshoe trail on the far right side is perfect for taking a stroll and getting some exercise. You’ll be amazed at how differently the property looks under a blanket of snow.

The temperatures are a little chilly right now but with more snow in the forecast and warmer temperatures next week, the trails should set up nicely for you to enjoy!

Thanks,

      Dave,

Every time we groom and/or can’t groom the trails, you’ll get an update through the blog email.

Hope to see you out there!

      Thanks,
      Mike
