Three Day Forecast

The forecast for the next 3 mornings will bring us significant frost delays. (Click on the forecast picture to expand). If you are playing this weekend, it’s likely the first tee time will be delayed until 10:00am or more because of the freezing temperatures and low sun angle this time of year. This is the first real cold weather of […]

Fall Update

It’s that time of year when our department starts to shift gears. With essentially 6 weeks left in the (typical) golf season, we are shifting our focus towards golf course improvement projects and winter preparation. We are no longer spending time and energy on most of the detail aspects of course maintenance because it prevents us from […]

Bad Timing

This morning’s unexpected storms have only produced .10″ of rain. However, just like golfers, our staff cannot perform maintenance and preparation to the golf course in the lightning. Looking at the timing of the current radar, I expect that it will be safe enough to get on the golf course at the same time […]

Last nights storm

We received another inch of rain last night which brings our weeks total to three inches. Carts will be allowed but please follow stakes and signs. Unfortunately, we received substantial winds as well so there is debris everywhere. Greens will not be cut or rolled as all labor will go into blowing off all playing […]

Wash Out

With 2.25″ of rain yesterday a few things happened. Unfortunately, the scheduled projected of sealing cart paths around the clubhouse did not happen. The paths need to be dry for the sealant to adhere properly. With the course scheduled to be closed all day, our department missed out on topdressing greens, solid tining of all of the […]

We […]

Frost Delay

Frost Delay

Today is the busiest golf day of the year so far, but unfortunately there will be a frost delay this morning. The irrigation system is not charged as of yet so we will have to wait for the weather to burn off the frost. Check with the Golf Shop for updates. Thanks for your patience!

Spring Update 2.0

Just when we thought Spring was upon us, Winter decided it’s not ready to let go of us quite yet. We were scheduled to open the golf course tomorrow, but with the 3″ of snow we received Monday morning, and the forecasted 1-2″ of snow tonight, opening day will obviously be delayed. We will make a decision on […]

Spring Update

Spring has sprung! I wasn’t exactly imagining it would come this fast, but after the winter we had, it’s more than welcomed. As of this morning, there are only small pockets of snow on the ground, mostly in bunkers and on North facing slopes. It’s easy to get excited about the Spring golf season and we look to be […]
