Midland Members,
As part of the golf course Master Plan, the new fairway expansions on 3, 8, 11, 12, 14, and 17 were seeded and topdressed on Monday. It is imperative that we keep electric carts off these areas. Bentgrass seedlings are extremely fragile and will not survive under cart traffic. All seeded areas are marked with green rope and stake running through the middle at each location. There are also directional signs assisting with the proper side of the expansion to drive on. All areas will remain off limits to carts until proper maturity is reached. They will also play as Ground Under Repair. Hole #14 is unique, as it has expansions on both sides of the fairway. Carts will not be allowed in the fairway. Please drive down the left or right side, in the rough, to stay off the seeded areas.
If you need to cross the seeded expansions by foot, that is not a problem. If you need to pull a stake out that is in your line, please remember to put the stake back up.
We need to keep the seed wet at all times, so irrigation will be running during the day. We will try to keep the watering’s around the 2:00pm and 6:00pm timeframes. The sprinklers will only run for 3 minutes each, so if you are waiting for them to hit a shot, you won’t need to wait long.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
