The 2025 season has finally arrived. First, the golf course came through another unconventional winter in great shape. It’s a testament to all of the prior cultural practices that are producing a higher performing turf, year round. It’s also a result of our staff executing a vigorous winter preparation plan in November. No one sees what goes into preparing for winter, and I ensure you it takes serious commitment from our team.
We do have a few important things to note –
- The bathrooms on #7 will not open until April 18th. The city of Roseville has control of connecting the water meter up and has scheduled it for that date. The bathrooms on 14 will be open when the course opens. The city of St. Paul controls the water at that building and it is ready for use.
- The installation of the new banquet patio and drainage upgrades off the clubhouse is currently occurring. Please use caution when driving carts behind the clubhouse, and yield to the construction team. Installation will take another week, weather permitting.
- The installation of drainage in the putting green is tentatively scheduled for next week. It will be closed during the process, and if you want to use a green to putt on, both of the chipping greens will be available. Once the pins are put back in the putting green, it will be open for use. Again, when installation is occurring, please use caution around construction equipment. If you are a walker, please use the cart path to access the 1st tee, and when walking from 9 green to 10 tee, again use the cart path. Installation of drainage will only take ~2 days, weather permitting.
It will take us several weeks to get up to a full staff. We always need everyone’s help with taking care of the golf course, but the shoulder seasons are always more challenging. The greatest clubs in the world also have the greatest prideful course etiquette cultures. Here are a few great links from the USGA that contain some great education:
See you out there,
